Abstract EN

The study aimed at discovering the effectiveness of a teaching strategy based on using caricature drawings to develop concepts of threats facing intellectual security (terrorism, extremism, and intolerance) in curriculum of social and national studies for girls in the third preparatory year.

To achieve the aim of the study, the female researcher used the experimental approach.

The sample of the study consisted of (33) female students.

They were divided into two groups, control group (16) and experimental group (17) The researcher designed a unit of "security and safety".

This is done through integrating concepts of threats of intellectual security within the suggested teaching strategy using caricature drawings.

The unit was applied on the experimental group, while the control group studied the same curriculum using the traditional method.

The researcher also put an achievement test to measure the effectiveness of the suggested teaching strategy in developing some concepts of intellectual threats.

The test was applied on both groups before and after the study Results of the study showed the following -There is a statistically significant difference between average marks of the third prep year girls in the group that was taught using the suggested method and average marks of the third prep year girls in the group that was taught in the traditional method regarding achievement of concept of "terrorism "and "extremism" and "intolerance" for the benefit of the experimental group - The strategy had a significant effect and a great effectiveness in developing concepts of threats of intellectual safety
