The dielectric constant properties of Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ superconductors have been studied to investigate the effects of Au nanoparticles (20-30) nm doping on the (Bi,Pb)-2223 superconducting system.

Superconductor samples were prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction method.

The Au nanoparticles concentration x = (0.0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0) wt% of the pure sample's total mass.

The x-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses were performed for phase identification and determination of the crystal structure reveals that all the samples polycrystalline in orthorhombic structure.

The critical transition temperature ( ) was found to have optimal value at x=1.0 wt%.

The role of nano-Au doping in modifying the dielectric properties, such as dielectric constants ( and ), the dielectric loss ( ) and the ac-conductivity ( ) by means of capacitance (C) measurement has been studied at frequencies (f) in the range of 50 Hz to 1 MHz.

These dielectric properties have been investigated which that our samples display lower losses and higher ac conductivities between the lower-doped (0.1) wt% and higher-doped such as (0.5 and 1.0) wt%.

This difference most likely arises due to a difference in the thicknesses of the charge reservoir layers of these materials.
