Abstract EN

This article ensues from a doctoral research dealing with the punctuation among the teaching/ learning of the FFL (French as a Foreign Language).

Our choice is to be oriented toward the object "punctuation" which should be self-justified by the fact that few research works get involved in, nevertheless to know how to write is widely linked to the know how to punctuate.

Our purpose is to make a contribution which would allow to enrich the domain of the didactic of French as a Foreign Language through theoretical foundations, the fruit of an exhaustive research, as defining and describing the punctuation seems difficult: this latter witnessed a diachronic evolution particularly during the 80’s by Nina Catach's works, another revival of the domain appeared during the last decade by evoking the white punctuation and the black one.

The present time witnesses, once more, that no more things are said about punctuation.

Was there any innovation about punctuation?.
