Abstract EN

This research paper aims at descriptively analyzing the Al-Kitaab fii Ta,allum al-,Arabiyya in accordance to the guidelines of American council on the teaching of foreign languages (ACTFL).

It is concerned with the linguistic and cultural content of the book and shows its way for introducing its data.

In addition, it evaluates its levels, skills and proficiencies in accordance to the guidelines of American council on the teaching of foreign languages (ACTFL).

It shows how far it follows these guidelines.

The research paper gives a proposed distributing for the data of the book, i.e.

its skills and elements, on the linguistic levels mentioned in ACTFL.

Finally, it introduces some suggestions to may be used in the next editions of the book.
