A number of conflicting views of scholars have appeared on the actual beginning of the Saudi novel which began from 1930 to 1959.

However, no one has investigated the significance of the female character in the novel, and its role in the novel formation.

Therefore, this paper attempts to identify the first Saudi novel depending on the technical maturity.

Namely, it is through the building of a main female character as a local woman.

The novel 'Fikrah - Idea' by Ahmad Al-Siba'i has managed to achieve this aspect.
