Abstract EN
Pattern recognition (PR) is a challenging task when images contain distortion, partial shape, overlap, occluded, noise and segmentation error in the digital image.
This paper presents a new approach to match a partial image with rotated images by using a genetic algorithm (GA).
A genetic algorithm with a chromosome of small length was used to decrease the search space, whereby the results can be obtained in a short time.
The new approach translates the partial image into the rotated image and rotates it by angle θ to obtain the best matching quickly.
To show the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed new approach, some examples are shown.
