Abstract EN

This paper aimed to investigate the importance of training on basic educational competences that are needed by the Arabic language teachers in second level at Basic Education (specific reference to AL-Nuhood Locality – West Kordofan) in the light of the modern trends in education from the perspective of the teachers.

The two researchers followed the descriptive methodology to conduct this study.

The population of the study consisted of the teachers of Arabic language in the second cycle of Basic Level, Al-Nuhood Locality the total number of which is 400 teachers.

The researchers draw a random sample of 110 subjects which prepresentd 27.5% of the population.

The tool which the study employed was a questionnaire directed to the teachers of Arabic language, second cycle.

Data was treated statistically by the SPSS programme.

The study came up with a number of results the most important of which is that the study proved that the basic educational competences have a very significant importance for the teachers of Arabic language in the second cycle of the Basic Level in AL-Nuhood Locality.

The study also proved that the need is very great for training the teachers of Arabic language in the second cycle of Basic Level in Al-Nuhood Locality on the basic educational competences in the context ofmodern educational trends.
