English Abstract

This study aims to answer the following question: What is the level of catastrophic thinking among students from the University of Al- Kufa in all specializations?.

And apply it to a sample of (600) students and that (284) male and (316 ) female students were selected (215) of scientific specialization, and (385) of humanities specialization, scale prepared by the researcher which is scale of thinking catastrophic consisting of (59) paragraph were given a style verbal reports only negative and the choices include the type of (Penta).

Use the research logical means.

The research reached the following results: The students have to think they have a catastrophic thinking in alternatives and negative options and do not allow themselves to think of their future only through fear.

And females are surrender to the thinking of the catastrophic and humanities specialization more rate in catastrophic thinking.
