One-pot three component synthesis of some newazo-pyrazoline compounds derived from 5-(3-chloro-4-methylphenyl)‎ diazenyl)‎-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde

In this work, the starting material 5-((3-chloro-4-methylphenyl)diazenyl)-2-hydroxy-benzaldehydewasbenzylated with benzyl bromideandthen subjected to react with different substituted acetophenones and phenylhydrazine in the presenceof sodium hydroxide via a one‐pot three‐componentreaction to give the desired new pyrazoline derivatives in highyields circumventingthe isolation and purification of chalconeintermediates.
