Abstract EN

Poetry is an art, which is easy in its ideology and hard in its way.

Long time ago, the Arabs specified it with the most beautiful qualities.

They appreciated and glorified it.

Through history, periods could not limit its genius, but it could give it a sense of restricted freedom.

The following research debates the problem of poetic quotation concerning its freedom restrictions, the strict chains and disciplines the Arab scholars set for protesting with poetry.

Then it alludes to the grammarians’ efforts in reviving them and making use of the quotation ability in probability issues.

The first section of the research was specified for that.

In the second section, the research tries to state the most important standards, which the grammarians depended on, in giving the priority to poetic quotation regarding it as one of the significant factors in improving and promoting the grammatical judgment.

Then it concludes with some virtual parameters for each standard and discusses them one by one according to the protestation rules stated by poetry tellers.

The research also alludes to the problems of the poetic quotation caused by difference in functions, which hindered and demoted its importance.

It also highlights the merits of the poetic quotation, which promoted its value as significant evidence.

The researcher concludes with a comprehensive view, which aims to rectify and adjust the quotation in order to minimize its exclusion.

Finally, the researcher suggests that protestation must be more logical and more tolerant at the same time, which eventually revitalizes its status, function and value taking into consideration language traditions and rules.
