This study aimed to identify teachers' expectations about the ability of deaf students in institutes and special education programs in Riyadh.

The researchers used The descriptive Survey Approach , he has also employed the "Opinions about deaf people scale (ODP)" prepared by Berkay, Gardner & Smith (1995).

The study sample consisted of individuals of all teachers and female teachers working in institutes and programs of including deaf students in general education schools at elementary, middle, and secondary level in Riyadh, accounted for (426) individuals, out of them only ( 372 ) individuals as for 181 teacher 191 female teacher) responded.

The results showed that teachers' expectations about the capabilities of deaf students generally score came on OK in its entirety as the arithmetic average (3.55), The remarkable expectations of teachers revolve around "it is unfair to limit deaf people to marginalized jobs with low wages, deaf people are as intelligent as hearing people", while the lowest expectations centered around the belief that the most intelligent deaf people have the ability to speak and communicate better than less intelligent deaf people.

The study also found that there is a statistically significant difference in respondents' perceptions in favor of females, those who have the qualifications of special education, and those who work at elementary level, while there is no statistically significant difference according to difference in educational environment, years of experience or training courses.
