The current study aims to identify the importance of using storyboards in the field of language skills development for children with intellectual disabilities in orientation phase, kindergartens, primary classes at the elementary level (first, second, third) in Riyadh from female teachers’ perspective and how different are their perspectives according to variable of class and work experience.

, study sample was determined randomly which included 100 female teachers in programs and centers of intellectual education in Riyadh, as the researcher distributed (questionnaire) electronically during second semester 1436 – 1437.

The results indicated that there are positive directions for female teachers of special education towards using storyboards in educational process, as the average approval was 4.13 of 5.00.

Also, results indicated that the sample agreed with very high degree on importance of using storyboards in developing language skills for children with intellectual disability as the average approval towards total degree (4.45 of 5.00).

There are not statistically significant differences between the study sample towards using storyboards according to variable of class or educational qualification.

While there are statistically significant differences according to variable of experience and the difference was for the favor of experienced teachers (6-10) years.

In the light of these results, the researchers recommended who concerned with education to get benefits of positive direction of female teachers towards importance of storyboards, combining it to the curriculum, conducting developing courses related to art of reading storyboards for the children and continuous improvement and revision for curriculums being taught for who with intellectual disability in line with any new changes
