Lexicon is an important communication tool between the reader and the cultural and scientific developments.

It is also important forpast and present linguistic development in this fast-paced era in the evolution and complexity, which differs from the scientific perspective.

Lexicon has a role and a function in different walks of life and their curricula.

The field of the lexicon is the area in which Ahmed Mokhtar Omar gave interest in his investigation.

We will try through this article to identify his efforts in this area through the demonstration of his position regarding Arabic legacy as well as his position vis-avis the modern Western lexicological studies; it also aims at demonstrating its new contribution to the field.
