Abstract EN

Despite the fact that the regional integration among Arab countries is one of the vital and renewable issues, which has been a part of Arab history and culture, and evolved over its career on the level of economic thought and its practical applications, especially since the establishment of the League of Arab States in 1945.

but that this had been a slow march and stumble in many cases, especially when compared to what has been accomplished and the stage that has been reached or compared to what has been achieved in other parts of the world.

Regional integration between Arab countries was given a new stimulus, through new overlapped regional trade agreements (RTAs), with one another, on a bilateral or regional basis (the Pan Arab Free Trade Area (PAFTA), Agadir agreement, GCC, Euro-Med Agreements….).

This paper focuses on analyzing the Regional trade agreements mentioned above, and trying to answer the following questions: is the intra- regional trade agreements necessary choice to motivate the stumbled regional integration among Arab countries ?, and which of those agreements is the best paths to achieve a successful regional integration among Arab countries.

Taking into consideration the other commitments of Arab countries with other partner, especially advanced economies such European Union and USA?
