English Abstract

Gaza strip is one of the most populated areas in the world, where 1,730,737' inhabitants lives in 365 km 2 .Gaza Strip is characterized as a limited water resources, where the aquifer is the only source of water, which has serious problems in the quality and quantity, and does not meet the growing needs of Gaza strip for water sector.

Water sector suffers from real problems , so there are a necessary need to search for alternative sources of water to achieve sustainability in water sector , such as the re-use of waste water which is produced in large quantities estimated by 37 million cubic meters per year .

For this, Ministry of Planning decides to prepare a paper about alternatives of using waste water , and this paper aims todis-cusses the problem of water in Gaza Strip and to clarify the alternatives of wastewater reuse and its current situation .

This paper is based on several methodologies to serve its goals.

These methodologies are represented in descriptive approach: to describe the current situation of Gaza Strip and analytical approach: to analyze previous studies and tests, then analyze the results of tests to choose the best standards fitted with Gaza strip needs.

The conclusion of this paper are groups of results which determine the quantities of wastewater needed for irrigation sector per year, and also identify ways to inject the treated waste water aquifer which can be applied in the Gaza Strip .
