Food security can be considered the biggest challenge facing Arab countries due to their heavy reliance on outside importation to cover their food needs.

Outside importation is subject to a number of sudden swings in prices as a result of what is happening in the global market, in 2007-2008 known as food prices in the global market increased significantly, reflecting on domestic prices of the Arab states negatively in rising food prices.

This is what this research tries to detail through the presentation of developments in world food prices and the most important impact on food prices in Arab countries
