Abstract EN

This paper presents the issue of codification of Islamic jurisprudence that has raised and continues to raise a lot of debates.

Also this paper presents the views of opponents and supporters of the idea of codification, with an attempt to understanding the cause of this dispute, and search for a way to synthesize the views of opponents and supporters of the codification of Islamic jurisprudence.

The research also shows the effects of the dispute over the legalization of Islamic jurisprudence in the efforts of developing a modern law for the collection of zakat through a few zakat laws in the Islamic world.
