Abstract EN

This study aimed at identify the importance and the advantages of electronic banking and obstacles facing the deployment in Saudi Arabia application on the Tabuk region, We distributed 27 questionnaire on (8) branches staff of the banks in the Tabuk region in the upper levels of management, study results showed that electronic banking is an important mean that attracts customers and assist in the development of electronic commerce in Saudi Arabia.

The advantages of using electronic banking have been the reduction of costs.

The benefits to the bank in the case of the provision of services via the Internet are reduce costs, increase the size of the business dealings.

The study pointed to several constraints such as lack of awareness of some of the banks of the importance of the benefits arising from the use of mail-order trade, weak security systems generated by e-commerce in the conclusion of business deals.

The study recommended the adoption of the banking sector to the concept of electronic banking.
