It is obvious that the ancient scholars played an important role in the service of Qu’ranic studies.
They set rules and criteria which had a great impact in enriching the linguistic courses in general and the phonological ones in particular.
IbnHazm (456 AH) is one of the scientists who dealt with the study of sounds focusing on the organs of speech for theseek of a better understanding of Islam.
