English Abstract

Land-transportation control and safety system (L-TCSS) is envisioned as reducing vehicle accidents to the minimum by best supervising and controlling transportation traffic using advanced cellular telecommunications technology.

L-TCSS is an innovative efficient intelligent transportation control and safety network that benefits from the huge progress in cellular telecommunication technology to reduce vehicle accidents.

The mission is to create a national-wide cellular transportation network to supervise car licenses, prevent exceeding maximum allowable speeds in different places (cities, highways...etc), check vehicle validity, serviceability and reliability.

All currently used intelligent traffic services provide the driver with travel assistance and directions, traffic information with specific route conditions and roadside assistance.

These services are considered as part of the overall telecom system services.

However, the innovation in the proposed L-TCSS resides in the fact that it is independent network fully specialized for supervising and controlling vehicles and driver behavior.
