Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the effect of types of Brain dominance on mental imagery among Yarmouk University students.

The sample of the study consisted of (500) male and female students from scientific and humanitarian faculties students from Yarmouk University.

To achieve the objectives of the study the researcher used two instruments: mental imagery scale, and Herman instrument to brain dominance.

The results of the study showed that the (D) (the region of higher right quarter) type was in first rank, while the (A) (the region of higher left quarter) type was in last rank, and the results of the study indicated there were statistically significant differences in mental imagery, attributed to type of brain dominance in all the sub skills, except of flexibility skill, and there were statistically significant differences attributed to the gender, in favor of the females, and there were statistically significant differences attributed to the reaction between type of brain dominance and the gender, in favor of the males in (A) (the region of higher left quarter) , and (B) (the region of lower left quarter) , and favor of the females in (D) (the region of higher right quarter) , and (C) (the region of lower right quarter).
