Abstract EN

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a common reaction to traumatic events.

Many people recover in the ensuing months, but in a signigcant subgroup the symptoms persist, often for years.

A cognitive model of persistence of PTSD is proposed.

This study aims at examining the impact of Post Traumatic Stress disorder on some mental disorders at a sample of the population of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A random sample of 184 members of individuals who have been exposed to trauma in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was selected for the study.

The Shock and pressure scale (the researcher) was applied for this study.

The findings show that there is an effect of stress on post-traumatic stress disorder among a sample search: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal achievement ,there are no differences in the impact of stress on post-traumatic stress disorder among the sample groups by age variables, sex, profession variables.
