The experimental data for α+20Ne elastic scattering angular distributions at energies 50.9, 54.1, 80.8 and 104 MeV are reanalyzed within the framework of both optical and folding potentials using α+16O model of 20Ne nucleus.

Folding potential calculations, where the density distribution of α and 20Ne are folded with nucleon-nucleon interaction potential (VNN), failed to reproduce the experimental data.

While, a reasonably good fitting for experimental data is obtained using α+16O model of 20Ne nucleus
