During May through July 2014 six localities in Erbil province were searched for sunspiders, they were observed on ground, under stones and between grasses especially at night.
Two species belong to two families, Galeodidae and Rhagodidae were identified from the study area, Galeodes caspius subfuscus Birula 1937, was recorded for the first time in Iraq.
