English Abstract
In this thesis the dielectric properties of gelatin based phantoms that are made mainly out of gelatin and water at different weight percentages are investigated.
The studied gelatin based phantoms were fabricated for gelatin weight percentages of 10.0%, 15.0%, 25.0%, 30.0% and 35.0%.
The studied dielectric properties that are considered in this study are the static dielectric constant (ε>), the dielectric constant at very high frequency (ε&), the average relaxation time (') and the activation energy (E.).
The study was performed in the frequency range of 0.5GHz to 20GHz and in the temperature range of 277K to 298K.
It's found out that increasing the percentage of Gelatin in the samples decreases the static dielectric constant linearly, increases the average relaxation time and increases the activation energy.
The dielectric properties in this study were obtained using the Cole-Cole plot for the real and imaginary dielectric constant with an exponent $ around 0.1.
