English Abstract
In this thesis, the effect of Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) addition on materials shielding properties of Gamma radiation (662 keV from Cs137) is investigated.
The linear attenuation coefficient for MWCNTs based materials for concentrations of 0%, 5% and 10% is measured.
For comparison purposes, samples with same concentrations of activated Carbon were fabricated and their linear attenuation coefficient is found too.
Also, the linear attenuation coefficient is obtained using the XCOM program and compared with measured values.
It is found out that the addition of MWCNTs has a minimal effect on shielding properties for gamma radiation
