Abstract EN

In an attempt to reveal another dimension of Ibn al-Haytham’s thought, this paper reflects on the legislative foundations for accountability, that make it possible to offer a practical discourse on his writings.

This is done by looking at it through the enigmatic relationship between philosophy and science, between ethics and politics, and between happiness and wisdom.

In this way, it turns out that Ibn al-Haytham’s discoveries and research affirm his scientific seriousness.

He can be ranked among the lawmaking philosophers who lay down human values and foundations and principles on the methodological and cognitive levels, as well as the foundations that set out the rules of behavior and practice.
