A customer of an Islamic bank wants to construct a school building for which he has requested the Islamic bank for finance. The land whereupon the building will be constructed is not owned by the customer but taken by him on a long-term lease from the government. A Shariah compliant structure is sought which enables the Islamic bank to finance the customer.
