Abstract EN

Naphthalene poisoning is an uncommon poisoning due to its pungent smell, taste, insolubility in water, and poor absorption from the gut.

It rarely occurs in suicidal attempts in adults and in accidental ingestion by children.

We present a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge encountered while treating a child with naphthalene-induced acute severe hemolytic anemia and acute kidney injury from accidental ingestion
