In this thesis, we will discuss the basic concepts of simple connected graphs in general and the minimal number of vertices with given girth and girth pair in particular, also we will investigate the effect of operations on the girth and girth pair of well known graphs, which introduce some new and tangible results related to minimal number of vertices and girth and girth pair of certain types of graphs
