English Abstract
In this thesis, we discussed the theoretical and practical applications of singular value decomposition techniques, which are applied, to matrices. The theoretical applications were concentrated on pseudo inverse and least squares problem, which approximates the solution of the linear system that cannot be found by usual methods. Practical application was on data image compression and face recognition in order to get a clear image on a given digital data.
