Abstract EN

Domestic violence could take place in both modern and traditional societies all over the time it may takes different shapes and usually targeted the yellow bally of the family, in other words, the vulnerable part of the family such as women and children, who, on fortunately have no protection cover in our society, and both the victims and the suppressors makes all the possibility offers keep it behind walls, as family secret.

This paper concern with the domestic violence against the female university students .To enuist gate the problem, a sample of so female students has been randomly selected.

Within this context, we struggling to get information as most female student did not like to uncover their families secrets, never the less, we confined to the available sample "50 female students" and a close –ended, open ended questionnaire has been used for data collection.

The study found: 1- Domestic violence usually takes verbal abuse shapes rather than physical one, which has more psychological damage than other violence shapes.

2- The data showed that the main figures who usually abused female students, were, Father, brother, husbands and mothers respectively.

3- The researcher did not pinpoint solutions, suggestions or commendations, as we don’t have applicable scope for that, unless we use the mass media to pass the message.
