Abstract EN

Blessing formulae which are frequent in New Testament have not yet been thoroughly investigated.

It is true that some studies have made reference to these formulae ; however the primary focus has been on blessing formulae in the old testament.

The present study aims at investigating these formulae in terms of their linguistic and dictionary meanings and their five main types namely god blessing, Jesus blessing, holy spirit blessing, the blessing of table and the blessing of enemy.
