Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate side effects of prazosin hydrochloride in fertility of male rats.

Study groups were received orally graded dose of the prazosin hydrochloride (20, 40 , 80) Mg / kg for 8-weeks, after end experimental, the treated group show significant decrement in testosterone and luteinizing hormone levels and decrement in sperm count.

Also it causes decreased in follicle stimulating hormone level and testicular morphology, Sperm viability and motility.

the body weight was decreased in the treated groups compare with control group, and decrease in weight of the tests, seminal vesicles and prostate gland compare with control group.

The present study concluded that the prazosin hydrochloride possessed as antiandrogenic and anti spermatogenic affects.
