Mixed rhodium and iridium clusters [RhIr 2(µ-PPh2)5] and, [IrRh2(µ--PPh2)3 (CO)5], and [[RhIr 2(µ-PPh2)5] and, [IrRh2(µ--PPh2)3 (CO)5], and their reactions with tert-Butylisocyanide (t-BuNC) were synthesized and investigated.
These derivatives were characterized by 1-D and 2-D COSY 31P{ 1H} NMR and, fab-mass spectrometry.
31P{1H} NMR data revealed important information about M-M bonds in these clusters.
