Working in conventional finance and banks : is my mother's salary Halal ? she is a bank lawyer

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, I have two questions. First is my parents both work in banks in one way or the other. My father retired several years back but he receives a certain amount of pension but my mom is right now the prime supporter of the family. While my dad was directly linked to banks my mother works in a place which receives its pay from banks but she doesn’t work with interest, i.e., she works in a place which acts as a court for all banks Islamic and non-Islamic. She told me that these banks pay their institute. Its like a place which takes complaints from customers etc. What I want to know is is her salary Halal ? Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your constant help
