Decision-makers in all countries show concern about the possible threat of nuclear and radiation pollution faced by their countries.

They seek to create plans for emergency response and establish training courses to achieve an optimal response.

National plan for radiological and nuclear emergency is considered a sub-plan of the general plan for disasters.

Countries seek to develop national systems for the prevention of radiation hazards in normal operating conditions and in case of radiological and nuclear emergency.

Arab Atomic Energy Agency has prepared a comprehensive strategy for the Arab region, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and other relevant regional and international organizatio ns, to avoid the dangers that might result from nuclear accidents and limit their consequences.
