Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to show the impact of the application of energy management system (ISO 50001) on improving the energy efficiency in a group of selected international companies, which include: Nissan’s vehicle assembly plant in the United States of America, Aviva stadium located in the Ireland capital Dublin, St Marys cement factory in Canada.

This study is conducted through relying on local files and documents related to energy consumption published on the official websites of these companies, and the website of international organization for standardization (ISO).

The study indicated that after these companies obtained the standard certification (ISO 50001), their energy consumption reduced remarkably; also they utilize their energy efficiently, leading them to achieve significant financial savings, besides reducing pollutant emissions.
