Abstract EN

I shall discuss in this paper the leading figure Ahmed Ben Bella and his nationalist orientations.

We shall see the vital role he played in supporting the Algerian cause and the Maghreb union in order to achieve a united struggle for independence.

The first main element discussed in this paper is introducing Ben Bella.

I shall also highlight the role of his family in shaping his Islamic and Arab principles.

Secondly, we shall clarify his attempts in supporting the Algerian cause through logistic assistance; besides, we explained Ben Bella’s crucial role in combating for nationalist causes such as the Maghreb union and the united struggle for independence.

These attempts were accomplished through his relationship with liberation movements leaders in the Maghreb, namely Tunisia and Morocco.

TheAlgerian front was represented in Egypt by Salah ben Youcef and Allal al Faci, the represented the Tunisian and Morrocan fronts respectively.

All these relation helped Ben Bella to strengthen his ties with Egyptian leaders, Djamal Abdu Nacer and his minister Fathi Al Dib, in order to create bases to support the Algerian revolution later with weaponry.

Furthermore, Ben Bella focused on the Palestinian righteous cause through his endless support to Jihadist fronts.
