Disposing of interest money : giving Interest to the poor

Assalamalaikum Can you please assist me with the following two questions : 1. Is it permissible to give interest money to poor Muslims, or Muslim charities. To me logically it would not make sense b / c interest is impure money, and you would be transfering this impure money to other Muslim brothers and sisters, and also the first principle is that it is haram to accept interest money for all Muslims, then by giving it to poor Muslims it would seem that it is then permissible, which would be contradicting the first principle ? 2. Would it be permissible to use interest money to pay postal or cargo fee for sending clothing or other items over seas for poor Muslims ? Jazakallah
