English Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using technology as a method of teaching English to Tenth Grade Students in Karak educational area.
Classroom Technology in this study was compared to the traditional method of teaching, which is widely used to teach English as a second language.
This thesis tried experimentally to establish which of the two methods is better to teach English.
The sample of the study consisted of 40 male students from Tenth Grade in Joza Secondary School for Boys in Karak Educational Area.
This sample was randomly divided into two groups: a control group and an experimental group and each group consisted of 20 male students.
A pre-test was given to both groups of the sample in two sessions to ensure equivalence and the results were scored.
Different skills of English were taught to the experimental group with technology aids in the computer laboratory at the above mentioned school, while the control group was taught the same skills following traditional method of teaching English.
The two groups were given a post-test and the achievements of both groups were tabulated and analyzed statistically in comparison with those of the pre-test.
The study concluded that teaching English with technology aids is more effective
