Abstract EN
The intrauterine device (IUD) is not without complications.
However, intravesical migration of an IUD is a rare complication.
The authors report two cases with IUD migrated into the bladder and which secondarily calcified.
It is about 2 patients bearing IUD respectively from 1 to 5 years.
Calling clinical signs were dominated by urinary symptoms: urinary urgency associated with a pollakiuria for one and a terminal hematuria for the other.
A urinary tract without preparation associated with abdominal-pelvic ecography led to the diagnosis of an IUD migrated into the bladder.
The treatment consisted of an endo bladder ballistic lithotripsy of calcified loop extraction IUD endoscopically.
To avoid such situations, the study of the anatomy of the womb by means of an endovaginale ultrasound and the screening of contraindications associated with a later surveillance seems to be interesting.
