English Abstract
In this thesis an introduction to wavelet analysis was addressed both continuous and discrete, throughout introducing Fourier analysis and observing the problem that it faced and the wavelet analysis as a solution for these problems..
The relationship between multiresolution analysis and its relation with wavelet analysis will be addressed also, and their role to find the expansion of the signal.
At the end of this thesis, the construction of wavelet function and scale function was discussed depending on the mentioned properties and some families named for the persons who built the two functions depending on properties that differs from family to another family by mentioning some of these difference
