English Abstract

This thesis gives high emphasis on ECG usage.

Cardiovascular diseases harm personal health; most of them are concerned with arrhythmia, therefore, it is very important to detect any abnormal behaviour such as arrhythmia, which is an abnormal heartbeat. Currently, in many countries, heart diseases are a major problem.

They have a large financial coast.

If the information contained in an Electrocardiogram (ECG) could become smarter, and more prolific, the effect of this problem could be reduced. The aim of this thesis is to build ECG recording system and to transmit this signal to a mobile as an SMS or to the PC as an image using the internet.

The ECG wave is filtered of noise and amplified to a level able to be interpreted.

The data is fetched by microcontroller and sent to the tablet PC via Bluetooth transceiver through the internet.

This results in transferring useful data of the heart's signal that medical staff can receive and analyse at the destination and react accordingly.
