Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the degree of including the health concepts, attitudes and practices in the science textbooks for the ninth and tenth grades in Jordan.

To achieve the purpose of the study, analysis instruments for the contents were developed to identify the level of including the health concepts, attitudes and practices in science textbooks.

The results showed that the highest ratio of the sample is for the health concepts and the least for attitudes.

They also showed that while there are no statistically significant differences in the degree of science textbooks inclusion of health concepts, attitudes and practices regarding the grade (ninth and tenth), there are significant differences in the degree of inclusion of the health concepts, attitudes and practices regarding textbooks, mainly, the chemistry and the biological sciences.In the light of the results, the researcher recommended increasing the focus on the development of health attitudes and practices in the content of science textbooks for ninth and tenth grades.
