Protest movements are a feature of the recent time, as the street has become an area of expression, condemnation and demand for change.

In recent years, some Arab countries have witnessed an unprecedented youth protest movement or the so-called "Arab Spring" against authoritarian political regimes in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Syria.

Thus, the protests reveal the nature of the relationship between Society and Power.

Algeria has not been immune from these changes in the neighborhood - although it has experienced a bitter experience in the 1990s - there have been many protests demanding internal reforms in various sectors demanding better living standards, eliminating unemployment and providing housing, etc.
