Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the efficiency of a counseling program in supporting love of life and subjective well-being among depressive patients free from psychotic symptoms in Kassala Teaching Hospital.

Experimental method was applied in this study.

The experimental group consisted of 40 patients who have been previously diagnosed for depression free of psychotic symptoms in Kassala Teaching Hospital.

Comprehensive sampling was used in the study.

To collect the required data, the study implemented the preliminary information form, love of life scale developed by the researchers, and a counseling program to support love of life and subjective well-being prepared by the researchers.

Data was analyzed using appropriate statistical tests.

The most important results of the study are: Love of life and well-being are statistically improved after applying the counseling program on the subjects.

There is no statistical difference in the efficiency of the counseling program in improving love of life and well-being according to some taxonomic variables like gender, social status an job.

The study concluded with a number of recommendations, and references.
