The effects of Ni substitution on the structure, microstructure; superconducting properties and Ratwui modes of YBa.2(Cul_xNix')20-j_gsystemshawebeeninvestigatcd.
Ihe Xi-substituted induces aporous, liner grained structure.
'Ihe energy dispersiie X-ray spctroscopy (EDS) analysis continued the incorporation of nickel into the /pains.
amanspectroscopyshoivsthattheXidopingcnhancesthef/isordcratthcCuOzpIanes and decreases the oxygen content by the depletion from the Cu() chains.
Ihe temperature dependent resistivity' measiuementsp(T) show a deviation from linearity, due to the o/x'iiiug of a pseudogap.
IX' susceptibility measurements show that the tiansition temperature decreases uitli increasing Xi content.
