Abstract EN

How and what instruments can be used in the process of modernization of education in Algeria? Answering this question was a top priority from the begining, Algeria has to be involved in the global development taking place today although it was also worth keeping this development in accordance with the cultural and historical context of the Algerian population .

Setting the pillars for the foundation of a modern a school that was already demolished by the French colonization was always a huge and difficult task for those active in the educational arena.

Did the French left anything that could boost education in Algeria or was it just a heritage that served the colons later? This delicate situation impacted negatively on the reconstruction process as far as education and school are concerned
