This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of an educational program in cognitive representation and reading comprehension for students enrolled in learning difficulties.

The study sample consisted of 60 students from fourth fifth grade in primary schools in the District of North-eastern Badia, those with learning difficulties in cognitive representation and reading comprehension.

The researcher used the experimental method, due to its appropriateness for the nature and objectives of the study.

The students were divided into two groups, experimental and control group, they were equal and homogeneous in chronological age and cognitive level of information representation and the level of reading comprehension.

To collect the data of the study, the researcher adopted two educational programs; reading comprehension program and congitive representation scale, which were developed by the researcher.

The results showed the effectiveness of the educational program used in developing information cognitive-representing level and improving the level of reading comprehension.

Most important results showed that there are statistical differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-test measurement of the level of cognetive representation of information, for the favor of the experimental group, and the existence of statistical differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in both measurements, pre-test and post-test, for the favor of post-test measures.
